Founded by Cathy Schaefer, an experienced graphic designer and painter based in Baltimore, Schaefer Design Studio has the experience and expertise to take on large, complex projects that call for thoughtful design. For each client, we create memorable new ways to deliver their message to diverse target audiences.

Cathy began her career with the internationally renowned firm, Chermayeff & Geismar, in New York, where she worked for ten years. As Senior Design Director, she was responsible for corporate identity projects for high profile clients including HarperCollins Publishers, Knoll, and Viacom. Throughout her career, she has designed and produced websites, exhibitions, art books, identity and branding systems, print programs, packaging, signage systems, environmental graphics, and publications for clients.
